Royal Mail have released a special set of stamps celebrating the roses of the UK, marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of the pioneering British rose breeder David Austin OBE (1926-2018). The set of ten stamps, five 1st class and five 2nd class, feature watercolour paintings by artist Marie Burke. The roses featured are, 1st class: Rosa gallica, 'Versicolour'; Field Rose, Rosa arvensis; Rosa 'Charles de Mills'; Rosa 'Peace'; Rosa 'Constance Spry' and 2nd class: Dog Rose, Rosa canina; Rosa 'Queen Elizabeth'; Rosa 'Just Joey'; Rosa 'Paul's Himalayan Musk'; Rosa 'Étoile de Hollande'.
The BS set comprises ten covers that each bear an appropriate handstamp.
