Royal Mail are celebrating 50 years since Concorde's first commercial flight with a set of eight stamps. The stamps, all 1st class, feature photographs of Concorde throughout its history: British Pre-Production Concorde Rolled Out, 1971; British Pre-Production Concorde In Flight, 1974; Concorde's First British Airways Livery, 1974; Concorde's First UK Commercial Flight, 1976; Concorde Flying Overhead, 1985; Celebrating 10 Years of Service, 1985; Concorde's Last British Airways Livery, 1997 and Final Commercial Flight, 2003.
The Gold 500 cover image is framed by a 22ct gold-blocked border and the cover bears a Heathrow, Hounslow handstamp. The cover additionally features a 1st Class Concorde stmp from the 2009 Design Classic issue. Numbered limited edition of 500.
