Royal Mail are celebrating 50 years since Concorde's first commercial flight. The miniature sheet comprises four stamps, all 1st class. Three of the stamps were originally part of the 1969 First Flight of Concorde issue, two designed by David Gentleman and one by Michael and Sylvia Goaman, and have been re-released with the King's head. The fourth stamp, designed by David Gentleman, was a design shortlisted for the 1969 issue but not used. The background of the miniature sheet is inspired by the original presentation pack used in 1969.
The Gold 500 cover image is framed by a 22ct gold-blocked border and the cover bears a Heathrow, Hounslow handstamp. The cover additionally feaures the three original stamps from the 1969 issue. Numbered limited edition of 500.
