2026 Marks the 500th anniversary of the crown, a coin steeped in rich numismatic history. Inspired by the 1526 crown, Timothy Noad's design fuses numismatic history with the modern British monarchy as it includes the cyphers of both His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty The Queen. The unique obverse design shows a decorative border of five roses, each commemorating a century since the first crowns of 1526, with elongated beading characteristic of coins made without a collar. Struck exclusively by the mint issued the first crown piece in 1526.
For such an important numismatic anniversary, we have produced a special coin cover encapsulating this unique commemorative crown, finished to a brilliant uncirculated standard. The coin is complemented by a 1997 Henry VIII commemorative and a Charles III definitive marking the span of 500 years of monarchy. Produced in a limited edition of 25 covers.
